4 wonderful days and nights of Music and Dance Workshops, Concerts, Belly Dance Cabarets and Balkan dance parties, in the beautiful Numinbah Valley in the Gold Coast Hinterland of South East Queensland.
Our fifth annual camp, to be held in October 2010, will feature some of the most talented teachers and performers in Australia's Middle Eastern and Balkan dance and music scene. We are very excited to welcome Master Egyptian drummer Hassan Youssef to the camp this year who will be bringing the folklorice music and dance styles of Egypt to the camp. Plus, we have many of our favourite teachers back again this year - there are too many to list here so please view the teachers page!
“Bahar Bayram” is fast developing a reputation as a memorable and exciting experience. Unique to Australia, the camp is a chance to immerse yourself in music and dance, develop your skills, meet people with the same interests and be part of a community of creative and inspiring people. Our teachers are selected for their talents and knowledge and also for their friendly and generous personalities.
All workshops, concerts, activities, meals and accommodation are included in the fees and the camp is very affordable. Families are welcomed and included, as are dancers and musicians of all levels of skill.
“Bahar Bayram” is a not-for-profit event planned to grow annually and all proceeds go towards running the camps and building on future camps and events. We're just in it for the smiles!
