Founded in October 2005 by Tamara Williams, the primary function of BAMEDAM is to create an annual camp through which musicians and dancers can come together to improve their skills, share their knowledge and have a great time in the process!

After travelling to the U.S.A. in 1997 and 1999 and attending similar camps in the Mendocino Woodlands, Tamara was struck by the strength of the communities there and the magical atmosphere that was created when people were given the opportunity to immerse themselves in their passion with others who share the same.

It has long been Tamara's dream to organise a similar camp in Australia, and having worked with many wonderful musicians and dancers in Australia, she is aware of the great resource of talent we have here and the need for more opportunities for collaboration and learning.

Within the BAMEDAM website you'll find details of the Bahar Bayram Camp - an events page with listings for other BAMEDAM and related gigs, workshops etc. - a teachers and members directory and a resources page for workshop notes from the camp and outside workshops. Enjoy and hope to see you at the camp!
